Our Beliefs and Values

This project is situated within the traditional African concept of Ubuntu (“I am because we are “), which locates identity development and meaning-making within a collective. This thinking is consistent with the African proverb ” it takes a village to raise a child ” where the engagement of the community, particularly, elders is key to the successful schooling of their children.
